High Density Pine Rosin, Rubbing Oil Finish. Maximizes Grain Illumination.
Sheen: A Natural Satin finish when rubbed on woodwork or machine buffed into wood floors. When rubbed on Trim and Wood Furniture the corners get a sweet cararmelized glow and the wood is still able to breathe and reflect light out.
Bio Poly NT is an all Natural Wood Finish. It is one of the most beautiful natural wood finishes available today. The exquisite character of wood is brought out for full illumination. No plastic barrier is created on the surface. Bio Poly uses advanced technology to make the wood itself part of the coating. This is done by coalescing rich tree resin, plant oils and minerals within the freshly saturated wood. High surface density means there is more resin per square inch in the wood. Resin goes deep into the wood fibers and creates a 3D effect within the grain that is captivating and alive. The wood grain seems to move when different light shines in. This always brings rich ambiance and character to any space.
NT is a natural wood finish with unrivaled beauty when rubbed into trim or furniture and it is a georgeous finish when machine buffed into a hardwood Floor. Our high specific gravity pine resin does not dry out like ordinary rubbing oils and it brings out the wood grain in an amazing way. It protects the surface and can be washed and maintained very easily for decades. Perfect for anyone who loves a natural wood finish.
Rubbing Oil Wood Floors: Bio Poly NT is a great rubbing oil floor finish. Many people like the look of tung oil or polymerized oil but want something that doesn't dry out as fast. NT is the answer. A floor that is buffed with Bio Poly NT is a floor that everyone will love. This is ideal for bedrooms and low traffic areas and can be spot maintained by simply wiping more NT on with rag and wiping it dry.
High Trafffic Wood Floors: For high trafffic floors apply a first coat of Bio Poly NT to illuminate the wood grain and then top coat with 2-3 coats of NanoTech. This will give you the deep wood tones of an oil based finish but none of the dangerous chemicals. Durability is as good or better than conventional floor finishes. Try some and see!
Spot Maintenance: Because no film is created on the surface Bio Poly has an excellent maintenance feature. Instead of the old way where you had to live with the scratches and scuffs until either the surface was recoated (ugly) or stripped (caustic); Bio Poly offers the ability to “spot maintain” the surface. No stripping. This is because the wood is a vital part of the coating, you wouldn’t want to sand this off. Just clean and prep the surface appropriatley, rub in another coat and wipe it dry. The wood soaks in what it needs and regains the nutrients that keep it alive and glowing.
Bio Based Not Petro Based: One of the other great things about using a natural wood finish like this is that it is 100% RENEWABLE. Not only is it a georgeous wood finish but it can be grown back forever! The Pine Resin is RECYCLED from paper manufacturing and is hypoallergenic. Very easy on the hands when used as a rubbing oil finish.
Below is a nice comment from a happy customer.
I recently completed a segmented contemporary vase in black walnut so I tried your suggestion of using the Bio Poly NT at an elevated temperature as a finish. Also used a heat gun to warm the piece as I rubbed in the Bio Poly NT. What a finish!!! The attached pictures taken at two different exposure don't do justice to the actual depth of finish that was obtained. This piece is 20" in dia. And 11" tall.
I will finish the piece using the Looking Glass polish tomorrow. I will also try your suggestion of adding a little Looking Glass ti to Bio Poly NT. Would you suggest using the combination, or just the Looking Glass polish at this point?
I will also use the Bio Poly on the wood sculpture that we had talked about in this previous email. Over the past couple of months, I have been doing bronze sculptures, so I have not had time to finish the wood one. I will send you a photo of that sculpture when it is completed.
Thanks again for your assistance in using this product. I don't think I will ever use another finish process again.
