Hi, I am interested in getting a gallon of your lime prime. Do I need to clean the studs and wall that has some slight mold on it or do I just paint right over it? And do I need to order from you or are there stores that you supply that I could buy from? Thank you!! Hi xxxxxx, Lime Prime can be painted directly over mold stains. If it's a project than can be cleaned first it might help adhesion if it is cleaned. If there is too much dirt and debris on the surface, it may interfere with the bond. Lime Prime works best when it can soak into the surface and bond well with the wood, concrete, drywall. Lime Prime is strong enough to paint directly over mold stains but clean as much as possible to help it soak the surface. We use Earth Clean to wash the surface before coating. Sometimes cleaning isn't feasible, in those cases we paint directly over the surface. After flood damage or during new construction, it helps to paint the wall cavities and back of drywall with Lime Prime. Studs inside a wall cavity usually get sprayed and if it's severe, it gets a second pass over to make sure a good strong coat of Lime Prime gets locked in the walls before the drywall is hung. We offer Earthpaint products directly from the factory, via shop-earthpaint.net Best wishes, Tom Sample pints are recommended for creating a finished sample in advance.
